Objectives of the Course

The aim of the plant physiology course is to understand the life processes, cellular functions and responses of plants to environmental influences.

Course Content

Basic physiological processes of plants such as growth, development, water and plant nutrient uptake, photosynthesis, respiration, nitrogen assimilation, and plant physiology under stress.

Name of Lecturer(s)
Lec. Seçil KÜÇÜK KAYA
Learning Outcomes
1.Defines the chemical structure of plants and distinguishes the differences between cell organelles.
2.Evaluates the phenomenon of photosynthesis in plants in terms of efficiency.
3.Evaluates the physiological efficiency of various agricultural practices.
4.Explains the basic physiological processes occurring in plants (photosynthesis, respiration, water uptake, and transpiration).
5.Explains the importance of environmental factors in growth and development and explains the impact of these factors on crop yield and quality.
