Objectives of the Course

The aim is to impart knowledge on the evaluation of Turkey's natural environmental features and the regional distribution of soil orders that occur under these conditions, along with agricultural potentials, problems and suggestions for solutions.

Course Content

Providing insights on Turkey's geology, geomorphology, climate, and natural vegetation; criteria considered in determining taxonomic classes; general characteristics of soil orders in Turkey, agricultural usage potentials, productivity features and common usage patterns

1.Comprehends the characteristics of Turkey’s natural environment (geology, geomorphology, climate, natural vegetation).
2.Interprets the effects of the soil-forming factors in our country.
3.Understands the morphology of soils in Turkey.
4.It identifies the agricultural potential and problems of soils by taking into account their physical and chemical properties.
5.Acquirs fundamental knowledge about the distributions and applications of soil orders in Turkey.
