Objectives of the Course

Learning the steps of an analysis and being equipped for the difficulties and errors that can be faced in those steps. Knowing the principles for sampling for different materials. Knowing the principles for preparation of the samples for chemical analysis. Obtaining skills in learning and applying the different techniques (preparation of solutions, purification, distillation, precipitation, extraction, standard adding) used in laboratory work. Possessing skills in interpretation of the results of analysis and writing report.

Course Content

Learning the steps of analysis, the principles of sampling, preparation of the samples for the analysis by different methods, method selection, errors and minimization of errors , learning basic laboratory techniques (extraction, distillation, purification ) and report of analysis results.
