This course examines regenerative agriculture practices, which have gained increasing importance in recent years, from an agricultural economics perspective. The course focuses on the effects of regenerative agriculture on production costs, farmer income, productivity, risk management, natural capital value, ecosystem services, carbon sequestration, carbon markets, carbon credits, green finance and agricultural policies. International agreements and regulations, together with climate change adaptation policies in agriculture, are evaluated from an economic perspective.
The aim of this course is to enable students to analyze regenerative agriculture practices within the framework of farm management economics, natural resource economics, carbon markets and agricultural policies.
