Objectives of the Course

At the end of this course, students will have the ability to analyzing an existing farming system and to grasp the system logic. Also, they will have the knowledge, skills and attitudes of to improve an existing agricultural system and construct a new system.

Course Content

System concept, a system approach for agriculture, closed, half open, open systems and features, different farming systems in the world; organizations as systems, organizations and their environment, rigid and soft characteristics of the systems, farming systems and research, participatory rural appraisal approach, and the use of systems analysis and development, RAAKS approach and implementation.

1.To have the ability of looking technical, social and economic aspects of agriculture from a system logic.
2.To have the ability of looking agricultural organizations from a system logic.
3.Ability to use participatory rural appraisal approach for analyzing and improving agricultural systems
4.To learn the applications of agricultural systems and to understand the application of new systems
5.Ability to using RAAKS approach for analyzing agricultural organizations
6.To be able to make economic analysis of applied agricultural systems
