Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of decision-making, as well as the decision processes and environments in agricultural enterprises; to familiarize them with heuristic biases, risk, and uncertainty conditions; and to provide them with the ability to apply multi-criteria decision-making and modeling techniques, such as Fuzzy Logic and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), within the agricultural sector.

Course Content

Fundamentals of decision-making, decision processes and environments in agricultural enterprises, decision-making under risk and uncertainty, heuristic decision-making and cognitive biases, modeling of decision problems, and the application of Fuzzy Logic and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) techniques in agriculture.
