Objectives of the Course

to search for the measures that must be taken in order to increase the level of welfare of individuals and society.

Learning the Basics of Welfare Economics. to investigate methods to be followed in order to increase the welfare and prosperity of the measure

1.Understand how to measure social welfare
2.interpret the role of state in affecting social welfare
3.Explain weakness of the market economy and examine the reasons for intervention of social state to the market economy.
4.Examine the soulutions of the problems such as redistribution of income, positive and negative externalities, monopolies, asymmetric information.
5.understand and interpret optimal Pareto solution.
