Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to introduce management information systems used in the digital transformation of the agricultural sector and to develop students' knowledge and skills in information management, data analysis, decision support systems, and the use of digital technologies in agricultural enterprises and organizations. The course also aims to enable students to effectively utilize information technologies to support managerial decision-making processes.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts of management information systems, digital transformation in agriculture, agricultural data management, databases, decision support systems, spreadsheet applications, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence applications, enterprise information systems, e-agriculture applications, and current approaches to the use of information technologies in agricultural enterprises. The course also includes practical activities that enable students to analyze and visualize agricultural data using contemporary software and digital tools, and to effectively utilize the information obtained in managerial decision-making processes.
