Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach the applications of blockchain technology in agriculture and food systems. The course covers the role of blockchain technology in agricultural product traceability, food safety, smart contracts, digital certification systems, agricultural supply chains, carbon markets, and sustainability practices. Students are expected to be able to evaluate blockchain-based agricultural applications from economic, institutional, and managerial perspectives.

Course Content

The fundamental principles of blockchain technology, distributed ledger systems, smart contracts, agricultural product traceability, food supply chain management, digital certification, carbon credits, sustainability practices, and blockchain projects in the agricultural sector are discussed.
