Objectives of the Course

Course objectives are; to define the ecosystem, landscape and landscape architecture conceptions and enables students with having some scholarly insight in general to the formation of landscape architecture and landscape architecture history ,its fields of study and professional liability.

Course Content

Introducing the ecosystem, the relationships between the natural and cultural resource values ??of the landscape and the concept of landscape, introducing the profession of landscape architecture, the emergence of the profession of landscape architecture, presenting its historical development, fields of work and current professional responsibilities.

1.Understanding ecosystem and ecosystem components,
2.Will be able to recognize the natural (natural components, processes and characteristics) and cultural (cultural components, processes and characteristics) systems,
3.Will be able to predict the full importance of landscape and landscape architecture.
4.Will be able to recognize the landscape history in Turkey and in the world.
5.To understand the landscape planning, landscape design, protection, biological restoration, landscape applications and management studies of Landscape Architecture,
6.Will be able to interpreting the professions new approaches over against the ecological and social problems.
