The aim of the course is to give information about the fertilization techniques used in protected cultivation.
Introduction to protected cultivation concept. The past, the present and the future of the protected cultivation. Greenhouse management in point of plant nutrition. Plant nutrients. Mineral element and water uptakes of plants. Movements of water and plant nutrients in plants. Plant nutrient disorders in plants. Preparation of nutrient solutions. Inorganic fertilizers. Calculation of the amount of fertilizers applied. Plant analysis. Renewal of plant nutrient solutions. Importance of EC concept in fertilization. Setting of the volume of the solution by using EC. Introduction to fertilization equipments used in protected cultivation.
