Objectives of the Course

In general, the objective is to determine the effects of agricultural production on the environment. The definition of the environment and the importance of environmental effects in agricultural production will be determined. In order to achieve this objective, the effects of various production techniques employed over time, including conventional agriculture and organic agriculture, were evaluated in comparison to some innovative practices with regard to their impact on the environment.

Course Content

Determining the production amounts of agricultural production based on some basic crops in the World and in Turkey. Determine the expenses such as fertilizers, pesticides and irrigation water that should be used in their production. Determining the direct (chemical pesticide and fertilizer application, etc.) or indirect (dams, irrigation dams, deterioration of soil structure, erosion, etc.) effects on the environment in order to carry out production. Some positive developments as a result of different production plans and the inclusion of legumes in the production pattern. Determine how much the environmental impact can be reduced between traditional farming systems and innovative farming systems.
