Objectives of the Course

Define the main concept and principles of fisheries biology, and Provide basic information about fish populations living under certain environmental conditions for better stock management and express biological changes.

Course Content

Population and sample, unit stock and stock, Reproduction, maturation and spawning, competition, migration and the selectivity of fishing gears. Marking experiments, data accumulation and processing, condition factor, length-weight relationship, von Bertalanffy growth equations
