Midwifery Program started its education in the education year of 1997-1998. Midwifery graduates are employed in the state hospitals belong to the Ministry of Health and State Universities as well as private health centres and private hospitals. Graduates can establish their own private business if desired. Postgraduate education (MSc) started at the department of midwifery in 2010. Aydın School of Health was closed based on the decision numbered 2016/8555 of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 08.04.2016 and numbered 29678. Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Nursing were established instead of Aydın School of Health with the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 08/04/2016 and numbered 29678. It continues to education as Nursing Faculty and Faculty of Health Sciences. For this reason, Aydın School of Health is located in the service building of these faculties. Midwifery Program students continue their education at the Faculty of Health Sciences
