Objectives of the Course

At the end of this course, students will identify the risk factors during pregnancy, to learn the methods used in the evaluation of fetal health, systemic disease, follow-up and care of pregnant women will gain the knowledge and skills.

Course Content

Pregnancy risk factors, pre-existing risk situations; ABO, Rh incompatibility, adolescent pregnancy, advanced maternal age and pregnancy, unwanted and unplanned pregnancies, pregnancy-related problems that arise; hyperemesis gravidarum, multiple pregnancy, late, polyhydroamnios, oligohydramnios, premature membrane rupture, preterm labor, pregnancy nutrition problems, domestic violence during pregnancy, pregnancy loss approach, the tests used in the assessment of fetal health, risky situations that occur in pregnancy, hypertensive conditions and prenatal bleeding, pregnancy and maintenance of systemic diseases.

3.To be able to understand the importance of maternal and fetal health,

6.To be able to implement appropriate treatments in cases of a deviation from healthy pregnancy,
7.To be able to give proper care of pregnant women with systemic diseases
8.To be able to give necessary training to increase the health of the mother and fetus in cases of a deviation from healthy pregnancy
