Objectives of the Course

To provide knowledge about normal childbirth, the postpartum period and follow-up and care of the normal newborn delivery room intrapartum to follow-up, to make a normal birth, postpartum care delivery and follow-up and maintain a normal newborn delivery room skills.

Course Content

Factors that play a role in the act on the normal physiology of labor, the act of a normal birth pain of labor, I., II., III. And IV phase of the mother's care and monitoring, evaluation and care of the newborn in the delivery room, the action on the initiatives, post-partum care, home birth, childbirth, the midwife's role and responsibilities in the postpartum period.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to explain the normal physiology of labor, and maternal discomfort
2.To be able to evaluate the health of the mother and the fetus in labor
3.To be able to implement initiatives that act on the mother's comfort and to prepare for the birth mother
4.To be able to help the birth of the baby and the placenta
5.To have the knowledge of the physiology of the newborn, and evaluate care to meet the needs of newborns
6.To be able to identify of postpartum period, evaluate and follow-up of the mother to make physical and psychological, to make applications for improving the health of the mother and baby
7.To be able to provide councelling in the matters required by the family health education and to be able evaluate the mother and family's ability to adapt to the role of parenting
8.To be able to acquire the habit of working with other members of the health team in a team spirit
9.To be able to integrate issues related to the educational process and to develop the ability to learn independently, read, study and do research.
10.To be able to show professional attitudes and behaviors
