Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to develop skills of students on pre-natal, natal and postnatal periods, and to utilize interdisciplinary interaction with midwifery care; to create new information utilizing information from the field by integrating and using information from different disciplines, to have problem solving skills about the problems faced in this field.

1.To be able to evaluate maternal and fetal health in prenatal period
2.To be able to manage normal and high-risk labour
3.To be able to evaluate the maternal and fetal / neonatal health in the normal and high-risk labour.
4.To be able to give women's care in the postpartum period.
5.To be able to evaluate the health of mothers and their newborn in the normal and high-risk postpartum period
6.To be able to use an advanced level the interdisciplinary interaction related with pre-natal, natal and postnatal care
7.To be able to act according to the social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the field of the pre-natal, delivery and postpartum care
