Objectives of the Course

To associate rhythm and dance with music, to combine movement concepts and skills with dance, to examine different types of dance and to create a unique dance composition.

Prepare composition with music using various body forms. Learn salsa, tango, waltz, polka step

Week 1 - Theoretical
History of Dance, why we need dance, dance terminology
Week 2 - Theoretical
Introduction basic rhythms), using rhythm, music, area, spatial awareness, using imagery, rhythmic games and activities, using locomotor and nonlocomotor movements
Week 3 - Theoretical
Creating and performing dance, improvisation, basic body movements, improve extension and release tension, (contraction - relaxation) step’s techniques, travellings, skips and hops, swings and circles, turns, waves

Dance composition and choreography, the logical connection of the movements, fluid mobility, distribution of difficulties, connecting elements, technical, aesthetic and emotional in relationship with the music, musical time
