Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide the awareness of nurse’s roles and responsibilities in forensic issues by recognizing Forensic Nursing.

Course Content

Basic Concepts about Forensic Nursing, Historical Development of Forensic Nursing in Turkey and the world, Working areas of Forensic Nurses, The roles of forensic nurses, Common Forensic Cases, Legal Responsibilities of Nurse in Forensic Cases, Legal Responsibilities of Nurse in Forensic Cases and Emergency Services, Patient rights, New Turkish Criminal Code and the responsibilities of paramedics, Legal Regulations related to Nursing, Malpractice and Nursing.
