Objectives of the Course

Objective of the course is to provide that students will be able to make the applications of nursing care, education and rehabilitation related to the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative period of the patients who should be surgically treated with a holistic approach

Course Content

Basic Concepts in Surgical Nursing Asepsis and sterilization methods Nutrition and Liquid Electrolyte Balance in Surgical Patients Surgical Infections Wound Healing Preoperative Patient Care Intraoperative Care Postoperative Patient Care Early-Late Postoperative Complications Seen Endocrine system Digestive System, Colon-Rectal Diseases, Liver and Gallbladder and Biliary Tract Diseases, Urinary System Diseases Ophthalmology Otorhinolaryngology Thoracic-Cardiovascular Diseases, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgical Diseases and Burns, Orthopedic Diseases, Neurosurgical Diseases, Breast Diseases, Oncologic Surgery, Transplantation
