Objectives of the Course

To gain the knowledge and skills, identifying the needs of the individual undergoing dialysis and the family, planning, implementation and evaluation of knowledge and skills appropriate for caring to improve the quality of life, hemodialysis physiology, tools, complications, treatment and care, using the hemodialysis machine and to be able to follow hemodialysis patients.

Course Content

Will learn subjects on definition and physiological principles of hemodialysis, for hemodialysis patients selection, needed materials for hemodialysis, in hemodialysis intravenous access, heparin in hemodialysis, application methods of hemodialysis, the adequacy of hemodialysis, in hemodialysis the acute complications, chronic complications of hemodialysis, infections in hemodialysis patients, psychosocial problems in hemodialysis patients, nutrititon in hemodialysis patients, rehabilitation in hemodialysis patients, hemodialysis in special cases.

1.Knows anatomy and physiology of the kidney, used in the diagnosis methods in kidney disease and nursing approaches
2.Knows the dialysis, dialysis indications, types of dialysis, dialysis physiological principles, the materials needed for dialysis.
3.Know the indications and complications of hemodialysis.
4.Be able to prepare hemodialysis machine.
5.Can implement hemodialysis to the patients and monitor hemodialysis patient.
6.Know the complications of hemodialysis, can distinguish and apply treatment.
7. Finishes of hemodialysis process safely
8.Adopt necessary nursing approaches in order to ensure an optimal quality of life in patients dialyzed
9.In children, the elderly and during pregnancy learns dialysis applications.
10.Learn nutrition and education in dialyzed patients.
