Objectives of the Course

It is aimed that the student gains the knowledge and skills to take the necessary precautions and improve safety by understanding all the processes and processes, legal responsibilities that may cause harm to the patients and health workers in the provision of health services.

Course Content

Importance of patient and employee safety, legal view and responsibilities on patient safety, infection control in safety, isolation precautions and waste management, patient and employee safety in the laboratory, radiation safety, the role of drug safety in patient safety, blood and blood products transfusion safety, sterilization services in patient safety, safety in surgical applications, prevention of patient falls, the importance of communication in patient safety, the importance of calibration in patient safety, safe working environments and employee safety, the contribution of healthcare professionals to safety, and colored code applications in security are given.
