Objectives of the Course

To examine the pre-Islamic Turkish culture in the light of basic sources and to recognize the Turkish states and cultures established until the war of Talas.

Starting from the prehistoric ages, the emergence of Turkish culture, development and subsequent interactions to reveal.

Students learn about theories about culture and civilization and development of civilization.
Week 2 - Theoretical
Students will have information about Turkish name, descent, homeland and migration.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Students will have information about the Asian Hun state, European Hun state.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Students will have information about Göktürk.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Students will have information about Uighurs, Kyrgyz and Pechenegs.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Students will have information about Turgiş, Karluklar, Uzlar.
Week 7 - Theoretical
Students will have information about Oguz, Sabar and Kipchaks.

Students learn about Avars, Khazars.
