Objectives of the Course

To learn use of Galileo as an electronic booking distribution system over the Internet as well as IATA fare calculations.

Course Content

Encoding and Decoding, Timetables, Flight Availability & Availability Options, Selling From Availability, Name Entries, Phone Entries, Ticketing Entries, Received-From Entries, Ending the Transaction, Supplementary Data, Optional Service Information (OSI), Special Service Requests (SSR), Retrieving Booking Files, Canceling-Inserting-Changing Flight Segments, Editing- Dividing Booking Files, Fare Displays, Fare Quotes, Manuel Fares Entries, Ticket Production, Ticket Exchange, Auto Refund, Seat Assignments, Queues, Client Files, Reference Information, Hotel Availability, Hotel Descriptions, Selling, Modifying Hotel Segments, Car Availability and Rates, Selling Car Segments, Modifying Car Segments, TIMATIC, Study Cases for all subjects. Fare displays, pricing, coding automatic fares, preparation of ticket issuing, maintaining client records, displaying hotel lists, displaying availability of hotels, segmenting hotels, changes to be done in hotels segment, displaying rental car options and their fares, creating rental car segments, changes to be done in car rental segment, travel displays, exercises to be solved regarding all topics taught.
