Objectives of the Course

The objective of the course is to improve students’ knowledge and skills in tourism guiding by giving information about daily life in the Greek and Roman culture.

Course Content

Information will be given on the subjects of the main characteristics of daily life, politics, trade, educational establishments, eating patterns in daily life.

1.He/ she gets information about daily life in ancient Greek and Roman Age.
2.He/ she investigates the relationships between archaeology and other disciplines.
3.He/ she learns general concepts and terms about daily life in Greek and Roman.
4.While guiding, he/ she learns how to inform the guests on the subjects of life in the Greek and Roman.
5.He/ she learns the daily objects used in daily life, comprehends the differences as compared to the other ages.
6.He/ she learns the activities aiming at investigating the social relationships of different regions in the Greek and Roman.
7.He/ she recognizes the differences (morning, noon and evening) in the daily life in the Greek and Roman, comprehends the differences between Roman and Byzantine.
8.He/ she tells the similarities and differences between daily life in the Greek and Roman and daily life in modern age.
