The purposes of this course are introducing scientific communication, by informing students about related process and its elements to make them include scientific communication features in their life.
Science, scientific information, communucation and explaining scientific communucation notions, scientific communication factors and roles, scientific communication process and scientific communication products, authors royalties, plagiarism, the effects of communication technology to communication process, electronic press, open access, web 2.0 and 3.0 technologies.
| 1. | Understands scientific communication process, the importance of electronic publishing and internet on scientific communication and by investigating new tendencies students have an ability to discuss the qualities and quantities of scientific communication both for Turkey and the world. |
| 2. | Learn the process of scientific communication |
| 3. | Learn the elements of scientific communication (author, referee, editor, publisher, scientific publication, information centers, user, etc.). |
| 4. | Areas of scientific communication; know electronic publishing, open access, open access archives, open access declarations and related software. |
