Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills related to mechanism techniques that they will need in their professional careers.

Course Content

Basic concepts of mechanisms, mechanism links, types of joints, degree of freedom, constrained motion of mechanisms, classification of mechanisms, kinematics of mechanisms, graphical determination of velocity and acceleration, determination of the instantaneous center of rotation, linkage mechanisms, design of crank-slider mechanisms, and cam mechanisms.
