Objectives of the Course

To teach Ecological systems in greenhouses, greenhouse types of greenhouse construction materials, building and running systems in greenhouses

Course Content

Under cover of plant cultivation systems, advantages and disadvantages of growing plants in the greenhouse, greenhouse up and running, heating and cooling systems in greenhouses

Learning Outcomes
1.Analyzes and classifies different protected cultivation systems and greenhouse types based on their structural, agronomic, and technical characteristics.
2.Selects greenhouse structural and cladding materials according to technical criteria, and performs static and dynamic load analyses acting on structural elements.
3.Conducts capacity calculations and climate control designs for ventilation, heating, and cooling systems using engineering methods to achieve indoor climate optimization in greenhouses.
4.Determines macro/micro-level site selection criteria for greenhouse enterprises considering technical and economic constraints; and designs the layout, unit configuration, irrigation, and drainage infrastructure.
5.Executes the preparatory phases of a greenhouse enterprise project in compliance with national and international standards; and conducts technical presentations by calculating quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and financial analyses.
