The aim of this course is to introduce different family structures, to provide understanding about problems that can occur in family-child relations and effects of these problems on child's development, child centered family counseling studies
Family systems and overview of family counseling approaches, Interaction between Parent and child,Parents' attitudes toward their children and their effects on children's development, Discipline methods, effects of parental behaviors on children, Joining of the disabled child to the family and pyschological periods in the family, Interaction between family and counselor, Steps of developmental assessment and guiding the family, Guiding families in educational settings, methods of education
| 1. | She/He will have information which is necessary for theoretical and practical in the field of child development. |
| 2. | He/she will have the information of evaluation and interpretation comparatively the accuracy, reliability and validity of the gaining information on child development. |
| 3. | He/she will have knowledge of children's developments, learning properties and challenges. |
| 4. | He/she will have knowledge of developmental problems, physical, cognitive, language, social-emotional, sensory development areas with taking in the consideration the ethical values |

| 6. | In the field of child development he/she will have the skills of generating different solutions to the problems with the evidence-based approach for the children with typical and atypical development. |
