To learn the metabolic synthesis of nucleic acids, purine and pyrimidine nucleotides and deoxyribonucleotides, to understand inhibitors of nucleotide synthesis and specific regulatory mechanisms, to grasp the importance of the regulation of nucleotide biosynthesis, learn the synthesis of specific regulating molecules, to understand the catabolism of nucleotides and their importance in cellular metabolism
DNA and RNA structure, DNA replication, RNA synthesis, breakdown and synthesis of purines and pyrimidines, transcription and translation mechanisms.
