Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with sufficient knowledge and knowledge about the ecology and physiology of seed germination.

Course Content

Seed structure, germination, factors affecting germination. Dormancy and methods of overcoming dormancy. Germination under stress conditions, seed in biotechnological studies and its importance. Recalcitrant seeds and in vitro germination.
