Objectives of the Course

It aims to teach the use of biotechnological applications in solving environmental problems.

Course Content

Introduction to Environmental Biotechnology, Pollution of soil, water, and air and the factors causing the pollution, Microorganisms and biotechnology, Microorganisms and bioremediation, Phytoremediation, Solid waste treatment and their use in agriculture, Composting, Biotechnological applications used in wastewater treatment, bioenergy production, single-cell protein production, biological fertilizers, biopesticides
