Objectives of the Course

This course aims to present fundamental concepts of power systems, methods of analysis of such systems and develop models for power system components.

Course Content

The course content covers basic structure of electrical power systems, electrical characteristics of transmission lines, transformers and generators, representation of power systems, per-unit system, symmetrical three-phase faults, symmetrical components, unsymmetrical faults.
