Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to introduce the fundamentals of computer networking. The students are expected to gain insight on subjects including LAN and WAN technologies, IP principles, network architecture and protocols, network applications and planning.

Course Content

Data communication basics, network hardware and software, reference models, packet switching and network technologies, internetworking, network management and security.
