Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach basic physiological processes such as cellular physiology, homeostatic mechanisms, and the physiology of the nervous and muscular systems, and to enable students to understand the normal functioning of the human body on a scientific basis.

Course Content

This course covers the basic physiological functions of the human body starting from the cellular level. It examines topics such as membrane transport, cellular communication, nervous system physiology, and muscle physiology. In addition, basic control mechanisms involved in maintaining homeostasis are explained. The course aims to provide a solid foundation for advanced system physiology and clinical courses.

Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
1.They learn basic concepts in physiology and cell physiology
2.They obtain information about the nervous system and muscle physiology
3.Evaluates the processes of nerve conduction, synaptic transmission, and sensory physiology.
4.Analyzes the basic physiological functions of the cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and endocrine systems.
5.Interprets the relationships among physiological processes and evaluates the normal functioning of the human body from a holistic perspective.
