Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach the physiological functions of organ systems, the interactions among body systems, and the regulatory mechanisms involved in maintaining homeostasis. The course aims to enable students to develop their knowledge of system physiology and evaluate physiological processes from a holistic perspective.

Course Content

This course covers the physiological functions of the cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine, and reproductive systems. The normal functions, regulatory mechanisms, and interactions among organ systems are examined. In addition, physiological processes involved in maintaining homeostasis are discussed to help students understand the integrated functioning of the human body.

Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
1.Explains the integrative roles of organ systems (cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, endocrine, etc.) in maintaining homeostasis.
2.Analyzes feedback mechanisms and regulatory relationships among different physiological systems.
3.Interprets the systemic effects of physiological changes in the cardiovascular, respiratory, and renal systems.
4.Evaluates the effects of hormones on target organs and the physiological outcomes of endocrine regulation.
5.Evaluates complex physiological processes involving multiple organ systems (exercise, stress, fluid balance, etc.) in an integrated manner.
