Objectives of the Course

In this course, it is aimed to give information about human, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, European Convention on Human Rights, Philosophical foundations of human rights and democracy, social contract, collective life, process of transforming the principles of human rights and democracy into behavior, forms of behavior required for human rights and democracy.

Course Content

This course covers the basic concepts on human rights and democracy, the philosophical foundations of human rihgts and democracy, historical development of human rights and contributions of philosophers to this process, national and international legal regulations on human rights, national and international institutions operating in the protection and development of human rights and democracy and human rights practices in social life
