Objectives of the Course

It is aimed to develop the knowledge and skills of the tourism guiding profession by providing students with information about architecture, painting and sculpture within the historical development of the Roman Empire.

Course Content

The Roman Empire will be divided into historical periods, its capital, historical geography, and provinces will be introduced, and information will be given about architecture, sculpture, and painting.

1.Divides the history of the Roman Empire into periods and explains its development.
2.Learns the development of Roman architectural art according to the provinces.
3.Explains the art historical importance of Roman sculpture.
4.Understands the art historical importance of Roman painting.
5.Explains the archaeological and art historical masterpieces of the Roman Empire outside of Anatolia by integrating them with Anatolian examples.
