Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to teach the basic concepts of Constitutional Law. It is very hard to conceive the public law and administration by the students without a thorough conceptualisation of the Constitutional Law. Therefore, an additional aim of the course is to lay the grounds of what is public administration and law

Course Content

The Structures of States, Separation of Powers, The Rule of Law, Political Parties and Elections Systems, The Principles of Constitutional Democracy, Fundamental Rights and Freedoms

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to associate the relationship between the Constitution and other constitutional equivalents on the basic characteristics of the regime.
2.To be able comprehend the importance of human rights and freedoms.
3.To be able express the connection of the Constitution with other branches.
4.To be able to recognise the basic organizational structure of the state.
5.To be able to establish the relationship between fundamental rights and freedoms of social processes.
6.To be able to distinguish the contents of a complete and accurate technical concepts of constitutional law.
7.To be able comprehend the critical importance of the principle of separation of powers carried in terms of democratic regime.
