Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to understand the political developments from World War I to the end of the Cold War and the historical process to the present and to evaluate and comprehend the changing balances.

Course Content

The interwar period, causes and consequences of World War II, the Cold War era, the USSR and the end of the Cold War.

1.To be able to comprehend the basic facts in the field of diplomatic history.
2.To be able to comprehend the process from the end of the First World War to the end of the Cold War, and analyze the recent political developments within the world history.
3.To be able to analyze the historical events in cause and effect relationship.
4.To be able to analyze the roles and attitudes of main actors in the histrorical period of the course.
5. To be able to better understand historical facts and processes
