Objectives of the Course

This course deals with the process steps in the process of preparing the contents for printing. Prepress is the term used in the printing and publishing industries for the processes and procedures that occur between the creation of a print layout and the final printing.

Course Content

Our aim is to teach these prepress steps to student. In this context, typography and basic design principles (balance, colour, hierarchy, alignment, etc.) will be emphasized.

1.Learns about printing techniques and methods used in the field.
2.Learns page design and design principles.
3.Learns what typography is, what it does, and why it matters in page design.
4.Learns how to use page elements such as colour, photo, table, title, graphic which is very important in page design.
5.Obtains the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to design newspapers and magazine pages.
6.Learns how to use InDesign.
7.After the page design stage, have information about the printing processes.
