Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is: to understand and analyse the place of popular culture in everyday life; to recognize the political and cultural influences of popular culture.

Course Content

This course introduces the concept of popular culture from different angles and theoretical approaches. Relates popular culture with political power, ideology and cultural identity issues. Provides knowledge to students, to approach, analyse and theorize the popular culture.
