Objectives of the Course

In this course content, firstly, what kind of transformations the relationship between sport and media has been going through from the past to the present day will be examined. Secondly, the link between sports and media coexistence with the economy and politics and the implications of this connection will be emphasized. Finally, it will be tried to show by example how the sports media performs ideally in social life.

Course Content

What is the basis of sport and media relations ?, What is the role and effect of media in daily sports activities ?, Language of sports media and sports media, What is sport ?, What is sport ?, Relationship between sport and social class, Relationship between sport and ideology, Economic dimension of sport, I said.

1.To be able to recognize the importance of the functions sociologically fulfilled in social life.
2.To be able to question what the effect of the media is in the use of sports by political powers in an ideological sense
3.The function of the media in the introduction of industrial sport circulation.
4.To examine the transformation of sports, economics and media relations, the effects on social life.
5.To analyze the effects of globalization on sports.
