Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills regarding basic research methods, techniques, and processes used in the social sciences. It introduces quantitative and qualitative research approaches, and teaches how to formulate research questions, select samples, collect and analyze data, and report findings. The course also aims to enhance students’ competence in scientific thinking.

Course Content

This course examines research methods used in the social sciences, with a particular focus on communication studies. It covers the fundamentals of quantitative and qualitative approaches, research design, data collection techniques, sampling strategies, analysis, and reporting. The course equips students with the skills to conduct research in areas such as media, mass communication, and cultural studies.
