The aim of this course is to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of radio, television, and cinema, to provide them with theoretical knowledge in these fields, and to enable them to develop basic academic competence in radio, television, and cinema studies.
The course covers the fundamental concepts and production processes of radio, television, and cinema. It explores the historical development of radio, its social functions, technical elements, and broadcasting systems. The evolution of television broadcasting, program structure, production environment, and teamwork are examined. Emphasis is placed on sound control in the studio, camera operation, and lighting techniques. The course also addresses key tools of visual storytelling, including principles of composition, camera shots, and the 180-degree rule. In its final part, the course introduces editing and discusses the multidimensional structure of cinema, film genres, and the main elements used in cinematic representation.
