Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with both fundamental and advanced practical skills in digital video editing. Students will enhance their technical proficiency and aesthetic awareness through hands-on editing exercises applied to various types of visual content.

Course Content

This course is designed to teach editing techniques through hands-on practice. Students will develop skills in visual storytelling, timing, transitions, sound synchronization, effects, and multi-camera editing by working on a variety of editing scenarios. Throughout the semester, students will complete short video projects using industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro).

1.Effectively use editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro) to perform basic and advanced editing operations.
2.Create coherence between scenes by applying transitions, effects, audio-video synchronization, and layered sound design techniques.
3.Enhance storytelling through editing rhythm, pacing, color correction, and visual consistency techniques.
4.Construct narrative structures for both non-fiction and fictional content, developing skills in documentary-style editing and interview arrangement.
5.Design and present a coherent creative editing project as a final project.
