Objectives of the Course

The course aims to provide understanding of the codes of visual communication in media so that the students gain the ability to analyse the designs in the means of visual design. This course informs students about visual aesthetics, history of design and the main design elements and the usage areas of television will be taught.

The importance of visual communication, Visual communication and perception, Principles of visual design, Visual design editing and analysis, Principles of graphic design in television.

1.Explains the types and functions of graphic design used in television broadcasting.
2.Designs visual elements such as channel identity, opening titles, lower-thirds, and animations.
3.Uses graphic design software to produce visual content in appropriate formats and resolutions for television.
4.Applies typography, color theory, and composition principles in designs.
5.Evaluates the impact of graphic design on the aesthetics of a television program and audience perception.
