Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the fundamental principles of television programming, program formats, and production processes while developing skills in audience analysis, content development, program design, scriptwriting, and broadcast planning. The course aims to equip students with the ability to evaluate television programs in terms of content, format, narrative structure, and broadcasting principles, as well as to develop program projects and gain practical experience in television program production processes.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts of television programming, program formats, audience analysis, content development processes, scriptwriting, rundown preparation, production processes, broadcasting ethics, and RTÜK principles. Throughout the course, the content and structural characteristics of television programs are examined, different program formats are analyzed comparatively, and students engage in designing, developing, and evaluating television program projects through group-based applications.
