The primary objective of this course is to teach students interviewing as a fundamental communication method applied across diverse fields, ranging from journalism and documentary filmmaking to the production of new media content. Students are expected to gain proficiency in areas such as preliminary preparation, question formulation techniques, interaction with the source, and interview ethics. The course covers not only traditional journalistic practices but also the speed, intimacy, and narrative-driven structures required by contemporary digital platforms, including podcasts, digital video series, and interactive content. Regardless of the technical medium, students develop the skills to elicit high-quality information, manage the process during the interview, and structure the gathered data using a narrative language appropriate for the target audience. Ultimately, the course aims to cultivate individuals who possess the high-quality interviewing practice required by contemporary media, both at the theoretical and practical levels.
This course approaches interviewing as a fundamental communication method utilized in journalism, documentary filmmaking, and new media content production. Covering all steps from preparation to editing, the course focuses on question formulation techniques, interaction with the source, interview psychology, and ethical principles. Students learn the narrative-driven approaches required by digital platforms (podcasts, video series, etc.) alongside traditional methods, gaining the competence to structure and present gathered data for their intended media outlets.

| 4. | Produces content by observing national and international broadcasting ethics, personal rights, and privacy boundaries during the interview process; acts with awareness of legal responsibilities. |
| 5. | Utilizes artificial intelligence applications effectively to enrich content during the interview process and evaluates the resulting media content with a critical approach regarding its social and cultural impacts. |
