Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to introduce students to the fundamental concepts, theoretical framework, and philosophy of political communication. It examines the interaction between media and politics, alongside the communication strategies of political actors. Additionally, the course aims to analyze the structural and methodological characteristics of political communication activities during both election and non-election periods from a comparative perspective.

Course Content

This course examines the fundamental concepts and philosophy of political communication. Exploring the dynamic relationship between media and politics, it discusses how political actors strategically position and utilize the media. Additionally, political campaigns conducted during election periods and institutional or daily political communication practices in non-election periods are analyzed comparatively through their similarities and differences.
